Am I the only one who finds something creepy about Jiang Yu? I don't know if it's the stern schoolmistress spectacles or her ability to read out total nonsense with a straight face. At least Sarah Palin shows some emotion occasionally - perhaps Chinese robotics are more advanced than they're letting on.
Madam Mao for the touchy-feely age?
The Chinese Sarah Palin. I love it. Good blogging, Ulaca!
Ah, the unlamented female member of the Gang of Four - I knew there was someone she reminded me of. Well spotted!
It was also reported that the fisherman was drunk when he rammed the boat, so and he and his family were not allowed to talk to any reporters after the heroic welcome home party.
Now you mention it, tapas, he did look very tired and emotional in the photo sent round by the PRC publicity machinery. I think we all thought he'd been beaten up. Now we know.
